In 2024, Voces launched a photo-voice project with street vendors in Sunset Park. The aim of the project was to turn around a narrative that ignores the economic and cultural contributions of street vendors and criminalizes this economic activity. Through this project, Voces Ciudadanas created the space for vendors to share their experiences as vendors in New York City and to depict their views through photography. The project lasted over fourteen weeks and included one-on-one interviews with vendors, multiple meetings where vendors shared their experiences, photo expeditions, and a final exhibition of the photographs taken by vendors.
